Pros of the Shira Route:

Starts at a higher elevation, offering a different experience and better acclimatization.

Beautiful scenic views, especially around Shira Plateau and Lava Tower.

Less crowded compared to Marangu and Machame routes.

Cons of the Shira Route:

The high starting altitude can increase the risk of altitude sickness for those not properly acclimatized.

The first few days are relatively challenging, as you’re already trekking at a higher altitude.
